Integrative Psychiatry Services

I begin with a comprehensive evaluation with the goal of thoroughly understanding you as an individual, your background, your environment and community, and your values. Then together, we work to define your treatment goals and how to best reach them.

  • Talk therapy aimed at getting to the root of and freeing you from what is causing your pain, discomfort, keeping you feeling stuck, or preventing you from feeling more whole, happy, healthy, and at peace.

  • I may recommend prescription medications for a period of time at the lowest dose that will be effective in helping manage symptoms. Most of the time, this is in conjunction with other therapies that aim to provide deeper, more lasting healing long-term. I also help people safely taper off of or make changes to their psychiatric medications.

  • Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy is a novel approach to treatment that combines the use of ketamine, a dissociative anesthetic, with psychotherapy to facilitate exploration, insight and healing. Ketamine is currently the only psychedelic medicine that is legally available to be used in treatment.

  • Integration is vital to creating lasting change after a therapeutic psychedelic experience. I can help you work through and process insights and emotions that arose during and after the experience, and then move forward in new ways. If new difficulties or symptoms reveal themselves after an experience, I can address those with you as well.

  • We can work with pharmaceutical grade nutraceuticals and herbal medicines to help manage symptoms, address deficiencies, and enhance wellbeing by creating a more balanced, healing environment within the body.

  • We can incorporate mindfulness, breathing exercises, and meditation into treatment to help regulate your physiologic stress response and to increase insight into deeper thoughts and emotions. Emotions stored in the body can negatively affect our wellbeing and may manifest as symptoms. I may refer patients for further treatment with expert practitioners who specialize in mind-body medicine and somatic therapy (acupuncture, massage, cupping, somatic experience, breath work, meditation, etc.)

Appointments + Fees

I do not work with insurance companies directly, but I can provide an itemized receipt or superbill that may allow you to get some reimbursement from your insurance company if you have out-of-network benefits. Contact me for more detailed information regarding fees.

  • Initial Consultation (90 min)

This one-time intake appointment consists of a comprehensive evaluation of your medical and psychiatric history, your lifestyle habits, review of records and lab results from other providers, and discussion of your treatment goals, followed by diagnosis and collaborative treatment planning.

  • Follow-up (25 or 45 min)

Follow-up appointments may be shorter (25 min) or longer (45 min) depending on individual needs and specific courses of treatment. Typically, follow-ups are scheduled more frequently early in the course of treatment. As things stabilize, they can be scheduled further apart.

  • Psychotherapy (45 min)

Psychotherapy appointments occur once or twice a week. These appointments can also include other services like management of medication, nutraceuticals or herbal medicines, & mind-body practices. My style incorporates psychodynamic psychotherapy, CBT, IPT and mindfulness.
